Although VLC media player in not recommended to Laptop user because of very high out put,but desktop users with Woofers or sub-woofers can make use of this high performance media player.

So read about some of VLC media player shortcuts,to enhance and quicken the usage(For latest version of  VLC Media player for Windows):-

  • F-Switch to Full-screen mode
  • Space-bar-Pause/Play media
  • M-Mute the audio
  • N-Play Next track or media file
  • P-Play previous track or media file
  • B-Use other audio track(only when there are more than one audio tracks)
  • C-Crop the video size according to the screen size or the needs
  • A-change the Aspect raio(Like-5:4,1:1)
  • G-Increase Subtitle delay,delay in the disalogues that appear on the screen when the video plays(Increases by 50)
  • H-Decrease in Subtitle delay(Decreases by 50)
  • J-Increase delay in Audio(Increases by 50)
  • K-Decrease delay in Audio(Decreases by 50)
  • V-ON/OFF Subtitles(If available)
  • Z-Zoom IN/OUT by Ratio(Original,half,quarter,full)
  • T-Displays the total time of the track or the video playing,along with the seek level
  • I-Displays the seek level and various play/pause,mute,play next etc options
  • O-Play Original size,stick to full screen size or half
  • D-Deinterlace ON/OFF
  • [ or { or - numeric key-Decrease the playing speed of the file(By difference of 0.10)
  • ] or }- or + numeric key-Increase the playing speed of the file(By difference of 0.10)
  • Options key between Alt key and Ctrl Key-Presents right-key options on the screen
  • Esc-Leave the full screen mode
  • Ctrl+UP Arrow Key-Increase Volume
  • Ctrl+Down Arrow key-Decrease Volume
  • Ctrl+Q-Quit the Media Player
  • You can use the multimedia keys on VLC player in Windows 7,like Pause/Play buttons,mute/unmute,increase/decrease the volume etc
