Technology has changed everything around us. One such big change has been the change in technology of the phone. VoIP phone relies on internet instead of the traditional method of copper wires and poles. For example, making long distance phone calls isn’t that difficult as it used to be with the landline phone. For people who are new to internet phone, this article will help them know more about this technology. We will look at the different aspects of phoning that have changed because of the arrival of internet phone including; long distance phone calls, and future of the phone calls in general. VoIP phone uses the method of converting voice into data through the use of digital signals before sending and receiving on internet.

Newbie to VoIP will be asking about the usefulness of this technology apart from the fact that it is different. The biggest thing that has changed with the arrival of this technology is that now conventional telephone is not being used the same way as it was in the past. Let us have a look at different ways in which you can have this phone service.

ATA

ATA or (analogue telephone adapter) is one of the most effective ways of using the VoIP phone. Axvoice and other renowned VoIP providers offer a device that is connected at one end with an internet connection at the other end through a router. Most of these devices come up with a user manual that help make the installation and configuration process a lot easier. The process of this device is really simple. It converts the analog signals from the phone system and converts them into digital signals. This is one of the earliest methods through which VoIP service had been introduced into the telecom market.

IP Phone

These are special phones that have been made only to be used as VoIP Phones. These phones are to be connected to the local internet network through the RJ 45 connector used for internet. These phones are excellently designed with all necessary hardware and software installed on them. They can handle all types of phone calls quite conveniently and some of them are even loaded with extra features to further facilitate the phone users.

PC to PC VoIP service

This is one of the most common methods that are still in use by the major VoIP providers. In this method you don’t need to have a phone instead, you will use your computer to make and receive phone calls. One advantage of having a PC based VoIP is that you can use your VoIP service in any part of the world, provided you have PC, but that makes PC a limitation as well. You will install specific software on your PC which will be perquisite to converting your PC into VoIP phone.

VoIP features

Internet phone service offers loads of exotic features to its customers which make their life a lot easier. Advanced features like call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID, anonymous call rejection and many others help phone users get more benefits from their phone service at a much lower cost.

    Hi!
I have read your review, and I found it really helpful. To be honest, I was at a loss in searching for a voip provider , it is always important to consider educating the consumer. Also an important part of business is calls, and if they are going through a good connection that it is going to make the overall quality of the call better. I have seen many problems in the past with this.

By using Voice over internet protocol (VOIP), you can save a lot of money. The charges is lower than the traditional phone line and it can make calls internationally without any long distance charges. Also, it allows users to go mobile and call directly from their mobile phone. Isn’t that great, is it?
